Occasionally, you may notice seasonal surface cracks or "checks" appearing on your Creative Playthings Play System. Relax. Because wood is a natural material, no two pieces are exactly alike. Each piece has its own characteristics and reacts differently to climatic changes.

When any wood product is exposed to the elements, it develops "wood checks". A check is the radical separation of the wood fibers running with the grain of the wood. These are caused by varying temperatures and moisture conditions. These are also natural characteristics of all outdoor wooden play equipment. In no way do they compromise the integrity of your Play System or - more importantly - the safety of your children.
